This blog is a random walk through the technology landscape.
As Lao Tzu put it “A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving”
In my career spanning two and a half decades, I have seen strange and exotic landscapes in technology. I have often been amazed by the human ingenuity and thought in every human endeavor.
My encounter with technology is aptly summed in Alfred Tennyson’s Ulysses
“Yet all experience is an arch wherethrough
Gleams that untravelled world, whose margin fades
For ever and for ever when I move.
How dull it is to pause, to make an end,
To rust unburnished, not to shine in use!
As though to breathe were life”
– Excerpt from Ulysses – Alfred Tennyson
I did B-Tech in Electronics from IIT-BHU,Varanasi and Masters in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. I have completed many online MOOC courses – a 10 module course in Data Science Specialization from John Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, 4 modules of Cloud Computing from UIUC, Machine Learning and Statistical Learning from Stanford, and a 3 module Data Science Series on Distributed Machine Learning with Apache Spark. I am currently working in IBM as a Cloud Architect.
